WHO CAN HOST A SWEET REASONS FUNDRAISER?
Any non-profit group can host a fundraiser with the proper tax documentation.
HOW DO FUNDRAISERS WORK?
We work together to pick a date. You have that entire day to earn a percentage
of sales. Customers you send in will let us know they are here for your fundraiser
and we will assign the sale amount to your organization.
WHEN CAN MY ORGANIZATION HOST A FUNDRAISER?
We host fundraisers Monday through Thursday during regular business hours.
HOW SOON CAN WE SCHEDULE A FUNDRAISER?
Organizations have the most success when they give themselves 4 weeks to promote their event. Dates fill quickly, but you can request a specific date and we will try our best to honor your request.
HOW MUCH DOES SWEET REASONS CONTRIBUTE TO MY ORGANIZATION?
Sweet Reasons donates 20% of food and beverage sales (pretax) on dine-in, takeout, catering and even gift card sales linked to your organization on the day of your event. Yes, online orders count, too!
The more people who order, the bigger your donation! A minimum of $100 in sales is required to receive a check.
HOW DO I BOOK A FUNDRAISER?
Collect the 501(c)(3) form OR the information for your W-9. We are unable to confirm your date until we have your completed tax documentation on file.
Email us a scanned copy of your W-9 or 501(c)(3) form and your requested date to email@example.com
We will review your application and assign your date within three days of receiving your application.
HOW MUCH CAN WE HOPE TO EARN WITH A SWEET REASONS FUNDRAISER?
It really depends on how well your organization markets the fundraiser, so you control how much you make!
HOW OFTEN CAN MY ORGANIZATION BOOK A FUNDRAISER?
Our general rule of thumb is quarterly; however, we are happy to consider special requests. We like thinking outside the box.
IS ONE DAY OF THE WEEK BETTER THAN OTHERS?
No. It really depends on how hard you work to get your supporters involved.
DO CATERING ORDERS COUNT?
Yes, as long as the food is ordered on the day of your event. When ordering online, supporters enter “fund” on the payment screen when placing their order. For in-person or phone orders, supporters should let our team members know they’re part of your fundraiser.

DO I NEED TO DESIGN MY OWN FLYER?
No. We will provide a pdf file for you to email or copy once your date has been approved.
MAY WE HAND OUT FLYERS IN THE PARKING LOT OR TO CUSTOMERS IN THE BAKERY?
No. Your donation is tied directly to the supporters who visit on your behalf. If someone is found distributing fliers on our premises, your organization will forfeit their donation.
HOW SOON WILL I GET THE CHECK AFTER MY FUNDRAISER?
You will receive your check 2 weeks after your fundraiser.
WILL SWEET REASONS PUBLICIZE OUR COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER FOR US?
No. You are responsible for advertising your fundraiser.
To have a successful fundraiser you will want to promote it as much as possible. Organizations often reach out using the following: newsletter, web site, email list, special invitations to friends, family, co-workers and other members of your organization.

CHECKLIST ON HOW TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER
AS SOON AS YOUR FUNDRAISER IS BOOKED AND CONFIRMED:
Announce a “SAVE THE DATE” to members of your organization. Calendars fill up quickly!
Remind supporters that the fundraiser runs all day.
Make copies of your flyer to distribute to supporters OR email them a copy of the pdf. Although flyers are not required at the time of sale, they are a great reminder!
WAYS TO ADVERTISE YOUR FUNDRAISER:
Word-of-mouth is your best form of advertisement! Talk to everyone about your fundraiser!
Use Social Media! Create an Event on Facebook! Use Twitter! Use Instagram!
Post an announcement and flyer on your organization’s website.
Share information in your group’s newsletter or E-newsletter. Attach a link to the flyer.
Make one page of your church bulletin your fundraiser flyer!
Email supporters your flyer and ask them to share it with friends, coworkers and family.
FINAL DAYS BEFORE YOUR FUNDRAISER:
One Week before your Fundraiser:
Send out an email reminder with flyer attached.
Email us at with any important Information regarding your group’s participation: (i.e. everyone is ordering after practice together, participation will be minimal due to sickness, etc.).
One or Two days before your Event:
Send out a final email reminder and attach the flyer.
Remind your supporters that their participation is “expected” and appreciated in order for your organization’s fundraiser to be a success!
Day of Fundraiser:
Place your catering, online & in-person orders and enjoy the great taste of Sweet Reasons!
