BAKERY & ALLERGEN INFORMATION

 Q: Are your gluten-free items prepared separately from your other items?

A: Because we have a small kitchen, we cannot guarantee that there is no cross-contamination.  We wash and sanitize everything after use, however, regular flour particles do float in the air.  We have many customers with Celiac’s Disease who are weekly regulars.

 

Q: Are your items completely nut-free?

A: We do have nuts / coconut in some of our products.  They are marked and we can give you any information on what’s in the case.  Most of our ingredients are processed in facilities that also process nuts. And again, because of the size of our kitchen, we cannot guarantee that there is no cross-contamination. It’s very important to be forthcoming about this.

 

Q: All all of your cheesecakes gluten free except for the crust?

A: NO. Only our Gluten-free chocolate cheesecake is completely gluten-free.  There is regular flour in the batters of our other cheesecakes.

 

Q: Should I refrigerate your cupcakes?

A: No...even though there is dairy in them, once they are baked they do not need to be refrigerated.   This includes the cream cheese frostings.  Our frostings were evaluated by the USDA and deemed safe to consume without refrigeration.  Once you blend the cream cheese with the other ingredients, the chemistry changes.

 

Q: How long do your cupcakes last?

A: Because we don’t use and preservatives or stabilizers, we recommend they be consumed the same day that you purchase them, which is also the day they were baked.  If you can’t get to them, keep them in a sealed container, out of the refrigerator and consume within a day or two.  They will also freeze well.

 

Q: Do you make everything in your store?

A: With the exception of our candy truffles and chocolate –covered pretzels, everything is completely made from scratch, on site.

 

Q: Do you ship?

A: Not at this time.

CAKES

Q: Do you make cakes?

A: Yes. Our cake line is ever evolving. We don’t make tiered, stack cakes as our cake is too moist and transport is difficult on these. We make 6”, 8” and 10” rounds and Quarter sheet cakes. We don’t cover in fondant, but use it for décor.  Right now we have a decorator on hand M, W, F to speak with you about your order. We will soon have our basic cake line on the website and Pinterest.
